Is it a sign?

Got this in a fortune cookie today.  Should I take it as a sign????

Moving some furniture out tomorrow, Goodwill truck comes on Wednesday; could be on the road by thurs?  Yikes!  More to come soon.

Preparations and loose ends

First a quick note--this is both a test post to see how the blog functions and a starting point for the blog.  Sale of the house has not occurred, and is in the hands of a property manager, hopefully a capable one.  Less than ideal, but the market sucks.  Anybody who knows someone looking for a nice 3 bedroom house in Asheville please let me know.  Friends visiting this weekend, then I'm expecting family to come and raid my furniture.  Original goal was to leave end of April, that appears delayed until at least the first week of May.

I'm also rethinking my route--aside from a couple of stops here in the US before crossing the border, most likely at Nuevo Laredo.  The original plan was to head across Mexcio to Mazatlan which is fairly far north on the Pacific coast, very nearly into the Gulf of California.  However, after additional research and talking to a few people, I may now head down a bit further south via Guadalajara into the Manzanillo area first, then start exploring.  That route is a bit longer, but I think there will be tons of camping and surfing opportunities.  We'll see.
